Siesta Key Community Fireworks
The highlight of the celebrations is the Siesta Key Fireworks. Visible from almost any spot along the Siesta Key coastline, the prime viewing location is Siesta Key Beach at 948 Beach Rd. With parking, restrooms, and showers, this spot will fill up quickly. Another great viewing spot is Sarasota Beach at 180 Beach Rd, and Crescent Beach at 6900 Point of Rocks Rd.
We recommend arriving early and using local transportation or walking. The free trolley service is a convenient option. The fireworks display begins at 9:15 p.m. on July 4 and marks the 30th annual celebration, free for all attendees.
Sarasota Fireworks/Bayfront Parade
Sarasota’s downtown also hosts a fantastic Fireworks and Parade. The event starts with a parade along the Sarasota Bayfront, featuring boats adorned in patriotic decorations, honoring first responders, essential workers, veterans, and medical professionals. The parade begins around 8 p.m. at Mound St and concludes at Bayfront Drive near J.D. Hamel Park.
Following the parade, fireworks light up the sky over the Bayfront at 9:15 p.m. The core of the festivities is at Bayfront Park at 5 Bayfront Dr. Attendees can enjoy food trucks, yard games, live music, and a special performance of the National Anthem by local American Idol star Alana Sherman.
Venice Fireworks
For a quieter celebration, head to Venice Beach at 101 The Esplanade S, about 40 minutes south of Sarasota. This location offers a more relaxed atmosphere with volleyball courts and park trails. Fireworks start around 9 p.m.
Nathan Benderson Park
Nathan Benderson Park hosts pre-fourth celebrations on July 3 from 5 p.m. Enjoy fireworks, games, and live music from local bands like the Derek Lersch Band and the Black Honkeys. The event includes a kids’ zone and a 4-mile race around Cooper Creek Lake. Fireworks commence at 9 p.m., and entry is $20 per vehicle and $40 for RVs.
Selby Gardens All American Cookout
Visit Marie Selby Gardens on July 4 for a premium view of the Sarasota fireworks and an All-American barbecue buffet. The $200 admission includes valet parking, dinner, and an open bar. Located at 1534 Mound Street, registration is required.
